Most common and wrong way of lifting is to bend yourself on the low back. Suppose, you need to lift a bag that is lying on the floor. How will you do it?

You (including me) will reach to the bag by bending at the lower back, then we will grab the bag and again straighten yourself.

This is not safe. Because, by bending at lower back, we are increasing the pressure and strain over the back. Soft tissue damage inside the back will come under physical stress and further damages it.

So whats the safe technique?

It will be safer if you avoid bending at the lower back.
Then the question may arise in your mind that if you will not bend the back then how anyone will reach the floor and pick up the bag.
