A Kind Hand Guiding Children: The Story of Dr M Yoosuf

Dr Yoosuf has spent nearly two decades working with children with special needs. They're friendly, caring occupational therapists who love helping kids reach their goals.

Their journey began with a simple wish: to make a real difference. That's why they earned a college degree with a Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy (BOT) from one of the prestigious Govt of India institutes, i.e. SVNIRTAR. Then he worked with children with special needs and then got a master's degree in the same field. This gave them the knowledge and skills to understand each child's unique needs.

Dr Yoosuf never stops learning. They've taken extra classes and workshops to stay up-to-date on the latest ways to help kids. They even went to a special program at the University of Southern California to learn more about how children use their senses.

But Dr Yoosuf doesn't just work in a clinic. They care deeply about children and want to do even more. So, they started a special school named Shama Foundation where children with special needs can learn and grow in a safe and supportive environment. They also helped bring aqua therapy, a fun way to exercise in water, to Delhi for the first time, giving children another option for getting stronger.

Because of their dedication, Dr Yoosuf has received awards and has been asked to join important groups that help make decisions about caring for children with special needs.

Dr Yoosuf is a wonderful example of a dedicated professional. They continue learning and using their skills to help each child they meet. Their kindness and innovative ideas have made a big difference in the lives of many children and families in India.
