Why eye massager?

In today’s lifestyle, where we spend long hours in front of screens—whether it’s mobile phones, laptops, or any other device—the blue rays emitted from these devices can be harmful to our eyes. These rays cause our eyes to become tired, stressed and irritated.

While consulting a doctor is essential, there’s something extra that can help: A light eye massage. It improves blood circulation, which can significantly benefit your eye health.

A recent study published in a journal scientific report highlights the benefits of eye massage. Researchers found that giving yourself a digital ocular massage can significantly reduce intraocular pressure (IOP), which is important for maintaining healthy eyes.

The study involved 66 healthy participants who did a 10-minute digital ocular massage, and the results showed that their IOP levels decreased from an average of 15.7 mmHg to 9.6 mmHg right after the massage1.

The product I have today will do just that. This eye massager will gently massage your eyes, promoting relaxation and helping to reduce strain.

Unboxing the Agaro Supreme Eye Massager

Let’s quickly dive into the unboxing. I’ll also share how to use it, and my personal experience with it.

At first glance, the box looks great, showcasing the Agaro Eye Massager – Supreme model, which comes with five modes and a one-year warranty. It also features clear usage instructions on the box, and I’m sure there’s a manual inside.

On one side of the box, you’ll find four key features:

  1. Power Mode: This allows you to change the massager’s mode.
  2. Temperature Control: You can adjust the warmth during the massage.
  3. Air Pressure Control: You can increase or decrease the pressure as per your comfort.
  4. Volume Control: This allows you to control the volume of the in-built soothing sounds.

Inside, we find a manual explaining how to use the device, a silicone bag, the main unit of the massager, and a charging cable (just like the ones we use to charge mobile phones). There’s also foam padding in the box to ensure the device stays safe during transit.

Built quality

Best eye massager review

The build quality is impressive! It feels premium and well-made. The two eyepieces are joined together by a hinge, which makes them foldable. When you fold the eyepiece, there is a slot in the bottom of the hinge. This slot is for a C-type cable, through which you can charge this device using an adaptor.

This makes the device hands-free and convenient to use.

The eyepiece is big enough to fit the eye socket of our skull without causing any pressure on the eyes. The Agaro branding is clearly visible, with four buttons on the left eyepiece for easy control.

The larger button of all four on the left side is the power on-off button. This button also changes the mode of massage. This device has five different types of massage modes, which we will discuss later in this article.

The top has a button to control the air pressure. This device gives massages by air pressure, so using this button, we can increase or decrease the pressure of the massage. The button on the right side controls the volume.

Finally, there is also a button to control the temperature. Yes, this device is also designed to provide heat compression. Using this button on the bottom, we can increase or decrease the temperature from low to medium to high according to our comfort level.

A stretchable, high-quality strap holds the massager in place. The strap’s length is adjustable, making it comfortable for different head sizes.

The inside material that directly comes into contact with closed eyes is made of premium, soft, and breathable material. This helps provide excellent comfort without causing sweating around the eyes.

How It Works

Before using the device, I skimmed through the manual. It explains the five different modes, each lasting 15 minutes. After the time is up, the massager automatically turns off, which is a convenient feature.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the modes:

  1. Soft Mode: Gentle air pressure massage with light heat and soothing music.
  2. Strong Mode: Increased air pressure with heat and vibration, making it feel like a professional head massage.
  3. Relax Mode: Only air pressure massage with music, without heat.
  4. Sleep Mode: A soothing mode that only provides heat, helping you relax and fall asleep.
  5. Wake-Up Mode: Designed to wake you up with vibrations and calming music.

You can easily switch between modes using the power button. Additional buttons control air pressure, volume, and temperature, making the experience customisable to your preferences.

My Experience with the Eye Massager

I first adjusted the strap to match my head size. When I strapped it around my head, the eyepieces firmly covered my eyes over the eye socket of my skull, evenly covering them.

I was apprehensive about whether it would put pressure on my eyes, but to my relief, there was no pressure on them. Overall, it was comfortable to wear without any concentration of pressure on any single point.

I used my right-hand finger and long-pressed the power button. After 3 seconds, the device was switched on, and a soothing female voice verbally mentioned that it had switched on and started with the Soft Mode.

By default, the device starts in the first mode, i.e., the Soft Mode. However, we can switch to the next mode by simply short-pressing the power button.

The device started to massage the bottom line of my eyes with soft air pressure, moving from the outer side to the inner side. It was especially relaxing for me when it massaged the outer part of the lower eyes.

After a few rounds of massage on the lower eye socket, it started to massage the upper eye socket. And wow, it was as if someone was giving me a light head massage.

This could be really beneficial for people with conditions like glaucoma, where maintaining low IOP is crucial. I even found out about a device called the Agaro Supreme Eye Massager that could potentially provide significant relief for these individuals.

During the massage, soothing music helped calm the brain.

My feeling after the first few seconds of using it: I have to say—it feels amazing! The Soft Mode is especially relaxing, with gentle pressure around the eyes and soothing music, including the sound of chirping birds, to be a nice touch. It’s perfect for unwinding after a long day.

Switching to Strong Mode, I could feel the massage all around my eyes, with a pleasant warmth.

The vibration in this mode gave a feeling of head massage., and the heat can be adjusted for additional comfort. I also found the soothing music.

Pros:

  1. The massager had the effect of both eye and head massage, so if you have an associated headache, it will surely help relieve it.
  2. The soothing music is beneficial for mental peace, which can help you get to sleep.
  3. Easy to use.

Cons:

  1. The heat compression was of no use to me. Many of you may find this feature helpful, but for me, the massager gave me the desired effect without warmth.
  2. The vibration in the Strong Mode served minimal purpose.
