A 2023 study¹ published in Egyptian Rheumatology and Rehabilitation highlights how important the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) is for clinicians and physiotherapists.

The researchers found that MRI findings of a prolapsed intervertebral disc of a patient strongly correlate with the functional disability captured by the ODI.

81% – 100%	Bed-bound / Exaggerating	The patient is either entirely bound to their bed or there may be an exaggeration of symptoms.
